Interhome appoints Maison de Voyage as GSA for India

Holiday homes and apartments provider, Interhome of Switzerland has appointed sales and marketing company, Maison de Voyage, a division of Zaka Group, as its GSA in India, with effect from January 1, 2012. Simon Lehmann, CEO, Interhome said, "India is achieving increasing recognition as an important source market. Indian tourism to Switzerland alone rose more than 20 per cent in 2010 and is up by a similar percentage this year. Under the new partnership with Maison de Voyage, we at Interhome estimate our potential turnover from the Indian market at around Euro 800,000 in 2012 ? and double of that figure the following year."

Beatrice Dolder, Director ? Business Development of Maison De Voyage added, ?The concept of vacation rental is not yet popular in our Indian travel industry and is also not understood correctly. Interhome is a vacation rental management company, which will match the Indian travellers requirements, as well as offer them new outstanding holiday experiences.? Speaking about their plans for the travel trade, Faisal Siddiqui, Director, Maison de Voyage stated, ?With the ever increasing growth and demand of outbound travel in India, there is space and need of newer holiday concepts. People are willing to experiment and travel agents often are limited with their resources and unable to fulfill this requirement. We will endeavour to educate agents about this upcoming concept of vacation rentals and we also plan to carry out advertising campaigns in trade media, as well as conduct road shows for travel agents.
