I sell lots of vacation rental homes here on the Outer Banks of NC. Many of the homes owned by LLC's are vacation rentals and it is a good idea to do it that way to protect your other assets. The mortgage company will deal with the LLC and the owners in it when deciding to grant the loan. It is very common. Speak to a lender in the area where you plan to buy since the lenders there will be more familiar with the practice than say one in Ohio would.
